The Finale

I talked to Adam again today, he is coming back to Nebraska on June 8th at 10 am. Unfortunately, he will only be home for nine days instead of fourteen. It's not enough time...it's just not enough time and there's not a damn thing I can do about it.

I am in my final hours as a resident of Pound Hall. I am ecstatic because I am finally going to be in my own place, but I am kind of sad to be leaving this room - not the dorm as a whole, but this room. There have been many many good times in this room, and there have also been some very very bad ones. I lived here for only two years but accumulated more friends and memories than one person even deserves in a lifetime. It's weird how empty it is now - my computer, my television, the loft, the futon, and a few articles of clothing. I am not ever coming back to this place again, and I hope the person who lives here after me makes as many memories as my friends and I did, and I hope they are just as good. I guess that's really it, there's not much else to say. After everything that has happened here, I am a little wistful, but this chapter is over, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

We've had some awesome times in Pound, but I'm sure we can also have great times elsewhere, so cheer up, it's gonna be a great year.
